Things to Do:

We know you'll be busy with Podcamp events. In case you bring family orfriends with you, we thought we'd suggest a few activities.

Phillies Game- The Phillies are at Home playing the Florida Marlins Sept. 7, 8, & 9.  Tickets are available as of 8/27/07.  While the Phillies are unlikely to win the series this year, the new Citizens Bank Park is one of the best places to see a Ball Game, and the Stadium is easily accessible by public transportation/subway.

Historical Sites, including:

Independence Hall National Park Service Sites: Admission to all park sites is free. Tickets are not needed for any park sites with the exception of Independence Hall. For entrance into Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were signed, you must have a timed tour ticket. These tickets eliminate the long wait for Independence Hall tours and give you more time to see the other historic sites in the area.  The Liberty Bell is located just across the street from Independence Hall, just off of Market Street between 5th and 6th Street- a few blocks away from our Saturday evening even at National Mechanics, located at 3rd and Market.historicalarea.pdf

Franklin Institute- Our Science Museum is one of the best, and the King Tut touring exhibit will be at the Franklin Insitute through September 30th! Advanced tickets are required for the special exhibit.

Philadelphia Museum of Art- the scene of that famous Rocky Run.  Plans are afoot to record a PodcCamp run up the steps - See our Facebook Group and check back here for more details.

Rodin Museum- rjust a block or so away from the Franklin Institute and the Art Museum, the Rodin Museum has the largest collection of Rodin sculpture outside of Paris.  Want to take a picture with the "Thinker"?  Stop by here on your way to run up those Art Museum Steps.

University of Pennsylvania Archeology museum-just over at 33rd and Spruce Streets, this Museum has a great collection, including a large collection of Egyptian mummies.

Reading Terminal Market- This downtown market at 12th & arch Streets, near ChinaTown and the Convention Center, has many great vendors and small stalls- a must for all your foodies and cooking videobloggers. Second only to the Italian Market to pick up goodies.  Most stalls will be open Saturday only.  Don;t miss the mango salsa at the 12th Street Cantina, LeBus breads, or the amish pretzel stand.
